“Core Stories” arose naturally from the “Rock Record” series. It consists of several quilts based on the circle, abstracted. As I’ve worked through this series, piece by piece, I’ve been surprised. Are they cores or are they holes? Things aren’t always what they seem. Cores shapeshift into holes: what forms, transforms, deforms; what we have, what we miss; abstract, concrete. The core of my story: pretty tough; very lucky.
